Nursing home (NOR)

This is a nursing home about an hour away from Oslo by car. We visited this location on the same day we visited Lier Mental Hospital. At first we couldn’t find a way in, but with just a little creativity we managed to get in through a window. The place was, unfortunately, strongly affected by vandalism. It almost looked as if someone had driven a tractor in there. It was still an exciting place, especially the unusual bathtubs. I tried to find some background information about this place, but I were unable to find anything.

Because of the struggles of getting in, I forgot to take pictures of the facade. If you pay attention to what’s outside the window on the pictures, you will see parts of it. The white building is the old part with things like meeting rooms and offices. The new part is made of bricks (see the last picture), and contains common areas, kitchens and bedrooms. It was getting even darker outside when we got here, so I will have to apologize again for the low quality on some of the pictures.

The walls were covered by someting that looked like polystyrene, but we never figured it out.

A poor picture, just to show how the facade on the new part of the nursing home was.
