Okey, so here are some pictures from my first Urban Exploring trip of the year. The cold and dark winter has made UE-trips a bit more challenging. But now the snow is gone and the temperatures are rising above well above 10 degrees!
A friend of mine, who also joined this trip, discovered this particular house some time ago. Until recently, there was no way to get inside, but now a porch door had been opened.
As usual, I have done some research, though I wont share all of it, for obvious reasons. This house was abandoned due to death, and the successor didn’t bother to move in nor sell it. Apparently, an old couple had been living there since the WW2 or earlier, and the house were abandoned sometimes in the 1950ās. It has since been used as a shelter by drug addicts and possibly illegal immigrant workers, which has lead to some vandalism and small fires, that, sadly, has destroyed some of the original inventory. Various personal belongings were scattered around the place.
I also discovered that this house was listed as abandoned by house-occupants, but Iām not sure if they’ve ever lived there or not, at least I couldn’t see any signs of it.
This picture shows the porch behind the left tree.
Picture taken from the road passing by. I assume the yellow door into the cellar is meant as a garage. It is currently filled with fire wood.
The main entrance, name tag still readable on the wall.
One of the walls were covered by scaffolds.
Picture taken on the ground floor, an old clock hanging at the wall. The roof showed signs of fire damage on the floor above.
Old pictures still hanging on the wall, probably of the old owners. The faces are censored to maintain some privacy.
A picture of cats surrounded by old spider webs.
The television were perhaps the newest furniture in this house.
The old clock from another angle with a chandelier in the foreground.
This doll reminds me of the Chucky movies.
Decoration still on the shelf, but Christmas eve is three moths ago?
A knife stuck to the ceiling.
I was thinking of the movie “The Conjuring” when I saw this stair. The door is covered by mold.
An old lamp on the refrigerator.
The kitchen, strange colors, isn’t it?
It looks like some of the pictures were removed.
Foggy window
An old pitchfork
An old hoe
A bell found in the garden, the size of it makes me wonder if it has belonged to a chapel or church.
Awesome photos!
Thank you š
